We deserve parity of mental and physical health. That's why I successfully campaigned for St John's Court in Exmouth to be saved and will press for more funding across Devon CCG and for veterans.
The Secretary of State for Health and Social Care Matt Hancock met the brilliant campaign to save the invaluable St John’s Court mental health facility in Exmouth to discuss the site’s future.
I have also called for better funding of mental health support for our veterans, first by ending the ongoing witch-hunt through the courts. I joined some of my colleagues to deliver a letter to the Prime Minister urging her to stop the witch-hunt against our veterans. Over 100 Conservative MPs signed the letter calling on the government to protect those who protected us. As a former Minister of State at the Northern Ireland Office and as the MP who represents CTC Lympstone, I hope that the government will right this wrong.
