East Devon’s MP, Sir Hugo Swire, has welcomed the announcement that inpatient beds in Sidmouth and Exmouth threatened with closure will be retained.
At Treasury Questions on Tuesday 28 February, Sir Hugo Swire called once again on the Chancellor to provide more money for social care in the forthcoming Budget.
Questioning the Government, Sir Hugo said:
East Devon’s MP, Sir Hugo Swire, has said he is ‘absolutely delighted’ that the Secretary of State for Education has agreed to contribute up to £750K towards the relocation of Tipton St John Primary School to Ottery St Mary.
Sir Hugo Swire said he was 'delighted' to secure a parliamentary debate on education funding in Devon, which took place on Wednesday 18 January.

Every school in East Devon is to be offered mental health first aid training to increase awareness around mental health and help to tackle the unacceptable stigma around the issue.
