Express & EchoScotland had spoken and the result was clear. The Scottish people had decided to keep our country of four nations together. For those of us, like me, who first stood as a Unionist candidate in Greenock and Inverclyde before becoming MP for East Devon, we all breathed a huge sigh of relief.  It would have been devastating to see our United Kingdom come to an end.

Swire calls for a Cranbrook medical centre

 Hugo Swire recently wrote to the Secretary of State for Health, the Rt Hon Jeremy Hunt MP, to call for a medical centre to built in Cranbrook.

Alec Salmond’s campaign to leave the United Kingdom only needs three more points to claim victory on September 18. After months of stagnation support for separation – mostly from the so call ‘undecided’ – suggests the momentum is edging towards the nationalists. This is undoubtedly ringing alarm bells at Westminster where cross party the consensus is that we are Better Together.
