The Rt. Hon Sir Hugo Swire MP, has called for all parties involved in the Sidmouth Beach Management Plan to "get on with it".
Speaking in a Westminster Hall debate, Sir Hugo praised Cllr. Stuart Hughes and Cllr. Tom Wright, who have worked hard on the plan.
Hugo was also pleased to gain an assurance from the Minister, George Eustice MP, to visit Sidmouth to see the damage done to the houses on Cliff Road. It is estimated that residents are losing a metre of land a year into the sea.
Hugo also called on the Government to look into compensation for those affected by coastal erosion.
