MP Hugo grilled by St Peter’s pupils

East Devon MP Sir Hugo Swire visited St Peter’s school, Lympstone, on Friday 28 April.

The MP began his visit by meeting the Head, Charlotte Johnstone, and senior pupils before taking part in a Q&A session with pupils from years 7 and 8.

Commenting on his visit, Sir Hugo said:

‘It’s always a joy to have the chance to speak to young people who are so clearly interested in politics.

‘The pupils at St Peter’s grilled on a number of issues ranging from my ambitions for East Devon, the forthcoming General Election, President Donald Trump and North Korea.

‘I was thoroughly impressed by the breadth of knowledge displayed by the pupils and I hope to visit St Peter’s again in the not too distant future’.
