Sir Hugo Swire has welcomed new investment from the Conservative Government, spearheaded by Communities Secretary James Brokenshire, to help East Devon support rough sleepers into safe and stable accommodation where they can rebuild their lives.
You will be aware from the events of last week that Parliament voted to support the Brady amendment, of which I was a sponsor, which means that the Prime Minister can now go back to Brussels to negotiate in the knowledge that it is the issue of the "Irish backstop" that needs to be addressed.
Ahead of the national launch of the Adult Social Care Recruitment campaign, Hugo met with care workers to discuss how we can boost recruitment into the adult social care sector where there are approximately 110,000 vacancies across England.
